Science books for children are developing well in China, but are seldom covered by the press. The “bad” thing is, there is little publicity on the achievement, but such a low profile does not mean underdevelopment.
Our dream is that one day, foreign publishers would come to Chinese writers for their works of their own accord.
Actually, every writer is a unique flower. They are of different colours, giving out different scents and displaying different ways of beauty.
In my opinion, there’s really no need to separate between children and adult science fiction. hey should actually be grouped together so that both these types of Chinese science can jointly be more vigorously promoted.
The main reasons are, first, that our lives are inherently colorful, and second, that the reform and opening up makes us integrate with the world, broad our horizon, and makes children’s litera- ture writers experience more.
