Chinese publishers anticipate continued improvements to the children’s publishing industry of China. From start to finish, Chinese children’s publishers have supported an open structure and welcomed increased international cooperation.
When exporting children’s books of China, we need to focus on the developments and changes of contemporary children’s books in content and format from various countries.
The next step will be to set up work experience and paid internships for students wanting to work in publishing, ensuring that it is ‘what you know’ and not ‘who you know’ that earns you this precious opportunity.
The best way to overcome this and allow a greater exchange is to work collaboratively to have an alternative illustration style made with the other target culture in mind.
Scholastic has a lot of resources in terms of content, and we are also plan- ning to help those poor students living in the west of China by providing them with books for free and start English programs.
